Caroline graduated from Cambridge Vet School in 1988. Having worked for 3 practices
before purchasing The Good Companions she knew exactly what she didn't want her practice
to be! Caroline currently works 4 days and one evening a week, with the rest of her time
occupied by her 2 children, Emily and Ben. Caroline has 3 dogs (Merry, Alice and mischevious little Pippin) and
a playful cat (Freddie). Don't mention 'Lord of the Rings'!
Pip graduated from Cambridge Vet School in 2003, and despite having seen practice
with Caroline from the age of 9, chose to return to the practice as a 'grown up vet'.
Pip became a partner in the practice in December 2006.
Pip has a keen interest in soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery and is currently working
towards a further qualification in small animal surgery. Pip has 2 dogs (Rocky and
Bobby) who are often heard causing chaos at the practice, a cat, and a chicken.
Wendy joined the practice in November 2005 and has
qualified as a veterinary nurse during her time with us. Wendy is a very experienced veterinary
nurse able to offer advice on all medical and pet ownership queries.
Wendy owns 2 dogs, 1 cat, and a goat that she hand reared!
Christina first came to us on a work experience placement with her veterinary nursing
degree ... and hasn't left us since! Christina studied canine
and feline behaviour as the 4th year of her course and is happy to discuss any behavioural
problems you may be having with your cats and dogs. Christina set up and runs our
puppy party program to assist owners with socialising their puppies - these have proven a
great hit with puppies and their owners.
Hailey joined the practice when
Becky left us to adventure in South America. Hailey is also a qualified veterinary nurse Hailey
joined us from a large veterinary practice - prefering to nurse in a smaller,
practice in which clients and their pets are treated as individuals. Hailey takes pleasure in nursing
all of our patients - no matter how ungrateful they may be! Hailey has many pets of her own, and
regularly needs restraining from offering a loving home to sick and unwanted animals that come
our way!
Belinda is our evening receptionist, she is
master of keeping her cool when the pressures of the day are just starting to wear on
other staff. So what does Belinda do all day? A question we often ask ... apparently 2
children and a deliquent beagle are enough to keep anyone busy!
Jess is our morning receptionist/practice
manager. Jess joined us early in 2005. Jess gets the nasty job of account management
and as such any administrative queries should be directed to Jess. Jess has recently
taken on a golden retriever puppy called Walter, who now terrorises her cats!
