We have a well equipped designated operating theatre so we are able to carry out a range of surgical procedures. Pip's interest in surgery and studies towards further qualifications in this area allow us to offer a very high standard of surgical care. There can be great variation in the quality of suture material and implants used in veterinary practice, we use only the highest quality materials.
Our experienced and skilled nurses monitor your pet under the anaesthetic and relay any queries to the vet. We believe that although any anaesthetic carries a risk, these risks can be minimised with appropriate patient preparation, careful selection of drugs administered, and early identification of any abnormalities. Thus we place a strong value to anaesthetic monitoring, using nurse observation, doppler blood pressure monitoring, oesophageal stethoscopes, a constant reading temperature probe and an ECG if required. The recovery nurse then continues to monitor your pet through its recovery ensuring that they feel no pain or distress.
