PRACTICE TOUR: CAT WARD
Our cat ward is located next to the Prep Room to ensure patients are under constant observation. We use Feliway ('happy cat pheromones') in the cat ward to help our patients feel at ease whilst in with us. Heat pads are used to help sick or recovering patients feel comforted ... we all know how much our pet cats appreciate somewhere warm to sleep!
A nurses station within the cat ward means cats need not be stressed by transfering them to a different room when performing routine nursing and monitoring
Many cats are anxious when in new surroundings and appreciate a hiding place within their cage, younger cats see tunnels as good for a game
